In 2023, Recycling and Disposal Solutions of Virginia (RDS) completed a new 33,000-square-foot building at its existing site in Portsmouth. The facility uses an AI powered AMP ONE system to separate bagged trash into its component parts of mixed recyclables, organics and residue.
